ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses problems and solutions concerning integration and interoperability of BA systems. Communication standards for BAS networks are the main issue addressed. The most commonly used communication standards in the BA industry, including BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, PROFIBUS and EIB, are introduced. The standards or common methods of integration at management level are discussed.
