ABSTRACT
In the conduct of research, initial, careful attention to study design will ensure that the questions asked and hypotheses formulated can be adequately addressed through data collection. It also ensures that all potentially relevant measures are collected in a way that their importance can be determined and excludes extraneous factors that may contaminate the data.
