Bearing capacity and settlement behavior of the spread foundation building on improved ground by non-vibratory sand compaction pile method

The school building has five stories of reinforced concrete and is 23.1 m in height. The foundation arrangement is shown in Figure 2. The foundation type is raft foundation and depth is GL – 2.35 m. The maximum design load at the serviceability limit state is about 130 kN/m2 and the maximum design load of the end of the foundations at the damage limit state is about 250 kN/m2. The criteria of the foundations and improved ground are shown in Table 1.
