ABSTRACT
Description: Beromun is a recombinant nonglycosylated cytokine of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) alfa family (TNF α-1a). The 157-amino acid, 17.35-kDa polypeptide is produced by recombinant DNA technology in Escherichia coli cells. The biologically active form is a bell-shaped homotrimer. It is supplied in a lyophilized form (with single-use vials containing 1 mg of active substance) to be reconstituted and diluted before use as an intravenous infusion.
