ABSTRACT
When Caleigh was conceived, I was determined to share in the birth in whatever ways a determined man might. I had no desire to be lead actor, but I did want to play attentive servant and trustworthy messenger. One way of participating was to write the birth announcement. I composed, and Susan edited, a broadsheet to tell the story:
