The meaning of the tea ceremony in women's lives

Any practice of tea ceremony practitioners, physical or discursive, is legitimated by traditional authority. Also, assuming traditional authority to raise one’s status within the practitioners’ community, and sometimes in society in general, especially attracts middle-class, middle-aged and older women, who constitute more than half of today’s tea ceremony practitioners.
