ABSTRACT

The application of textile in architectural solution puts safety issues and fiberglass could be an answer to that problem. Using recycled glass packaging as a source of raw material we solve an ecological problem, increasing environmental sustainability. The huge amount of waste is a problem in management point of view, but also in terms of environmental contamination. Therefore, it is important to adopt a new production logic, able to use waste material in a production of new goods, turning waste as a source of wealth and avoiding the problems that the simple landfill of waste poses. Architecture can contribute to a better management of wastes helping to solve that problem. The proposed research aims to find constructive solutions used in architecture capable of integrating raw material, whose origin results from recycling of glass wastes, promoting a circular economy and answering also to other CIAUD project in the field of textile solutions in architecture.
