ABSTRACT
The publication of the Government Construction Strategy in 2011, helped bring about a digital construction revolution in the UK and the rest of the work. At the centre is a package of measures with Building Information Mod-elling (BIM) at the heart, focussed on digital collaboration achieving best value across the project timeline. Following the UK Government’s BIM mandate in 2016 and a Scottish BIM policy the following year, BIM has seen a steady rise in its use within the construction industry.
