Soon after these observations in Africa, O' Conor and Wright (who had also worked in Uganda) and others reported histologically indistinguishable tumours in children in Europe and the United States (Dorfman, 1 965 ; O' Conor, Rappaport and Smith, 1 965 ; Wright, 1 966) .
