ABSTRACT

The increasing competition in the business world often requires businesspeople to think outside the box. However, some businesses are only concerned about making profits without regard to business ethics. After seeing financial gains, some businesspeople act contrary to the law, and this trend seems to keep increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to institute a more polite business environment that addresses business ethics in the world of commerce, including in the imported second-hand garment industry. Sales of imported second-hand clothes today are increasing and have started to break into large shopping centers. Breaches of laws and ethics has became an issue in, among other places, Royal Plaza Surabaya, where many imported second-hand clothes sellers conduct their business, leading to questions of whether young entrepreneurs are more likely to ignore ethics when doing business.
