ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter, the chemicals of concern were food additives, and the potentially exposed group represented a large part of the total population of the United States. In addition, the chemicals were evaluated mainly on the basis of animal experimentation-in particular, the rodent bioassay. In this chapter, another situation will be explored, one that represents quite different risk assessment studies and risk management decisions.
