ABSTRACT

An atmosphere of friendship among peoples, of equality and mutal trust, of respect for the national sentiments of people has grown firm in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (SSR). Society has been raising a range of questions of a national and cultural nature, in some publications and speeches, in letters to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU), the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Ukraine, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR, in letters to the editors of newspapers, magazines, television and radio. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Ukraine obligated the Party committees, Soviet organs, and ideological organizations to assure the supply of profoundly thoughtful and systematic propoganda of the pressing questions of the nationality policy of the CPSU and the Soviet state, of ideas of the friendship of peoples of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, of Soviet patriotism and internationalism.
