ABSTRACT

This work deals with natural frequencies of transverse vibrations of piles. It is assumed that an initial stress state of a pile is governed by the damage properties and can be determined from the solution of the problem of equilibrium. We suppose that vibrations occur for a relatively short time and that deformation is elastic. The elastic parameters depend on the volume of preliminary accumulated damage. The dependency of the natural frequency value upon parameters of initial state – volume of accumulated damage and initial stress is being evaluated. Recommendations are formulated as based on the analysis.
