ABSTRACT
This chapter presents excerpts from the novel Man As He Is. It presents an account of the vicissitudes of Sir George Paradyne, a twenty-one-year old baronet who inherits his title after the drowning death of his father and his two older brothers on their return from a visit to the family estate in Ireland.
