ABSTRACT
My new apartment on Christopher Street was designed a little differently from my place on the Lower East Side. Instead of being a railroad flat, you walked through a hall, about three feet wide, then arrived in the kitchen-bathroom. On the right side was a small room that I decided to use for the bedroom, and on the left side was my one-room music room, living room, studio, study, dining room and closet.
