ABSTRACT

Patient Assessment Radiographs revealed pelvic fractures, but thoracic and abdominal radiographs were within normal limits. Her bladder could be palpated and visualized radiographically. Neurologic examination revealed no abnormalities and the patient had sensation to the lateral digits of the caudal limbs, anus and tail; suggesting normal function of the sciatic, pudendal and caudal nerves. Even though radiographs were unremarkable, there was a possibility that the patient might have been run over, with resultant soft tissue trauma. This includes damage to and devitalization of skin in the pelvic area.
