Signalment and History A 2-year-old, neutered, female Labrador Retriever weighing 37 kg sustained a left rear limb injury from a motor vehicle accident. In addition, there were numerous abrasions on the carpi, head, and left lateral stifle. Thoracic and abdominal radiographs were within normal limits. Capillary refill time was greater than 3 seconds. Intravenous fluids and analgesics were administered, and a Robert Jones bandage was applied to the left rear limb. The patient was referred to the surgical service the following day.
