Fracture Assessment Closed, tibial tuberosity avulsion, displaced proximally 1 cm (Figures 2.23A-B). Tibial tuberosity fractures occur with some frequency, usually from falls. These carry a good prognosis; however, there will be compromise to growth of the tibial tuberosity.
