7.1.1.1 Short-Term Memory The anatomical correlate of auditory verbal short-term memory is the left (dominant) parietal lobe, while that of visual verbal short-term memory is possibly the left temporo-occipital area. That of nonverbal short-term memory is possibly the right (nondominant) temporal lobe.
