ABSTRACT

Communication affects every facet of the justice system. From the least of foot patrols to the highest echelon of the U.S. Supreme Court, communication affects every activity and outcome within the justice system. From the moment of detaining and arrest through the final stages of the justice system, communication pervades every phase of progressing of a case within the justice system. Figure 17.1 shows the methodical stages of the justice system among which communication is present.
