ABSTRACT

Competence and Training Management provide qualification and enablement of selected key groups with respect to the competences required for business transformation and the strategic core competences vital for the company's future success. Business transformation requires a longer-term and often major change in the competences of team members and the management. If the business transformation is linked to the implementation of software, training sessions should be carried out a week before using the system. Particular attention should be paid to ensuring that, during IT training, not only the operating steps are conveyed, but that subject matter experts explain and embed the applications in the business contexts. The management's attitude to the team members and to cross-company cooperation is also of pivotal importance for the development of competences. If cooperation and the sharing of knowledge are perceived as a zero-sum game or even as a potential loss of personal property, the conditions for learning and the development of talent are extremely unfavorable.
