ABSTRACT

This book set out to rethink, re-imagine and even to reassert, where appropriate, paradigms in WE; to reconsider the issues and theoretical constructs surrounding the study of WE; and to provide an up-to-date documentation of theory and practice in WE. In this chapter where we offer our concluding remarks, we first set out to think about what a paradigm shift entails especially in the context of the study of WE. We then move on to revisit the voices of scholars who have contributed to this volume and how they have, through their research and scholarship in the field, necessitated rethinking the WE paradigm.
