ABSTRACT
This chapter brings the handbook to a conclusion by drawing lessons, best practices, challenges and opportunities tabled by various authors. Key to this conclusive chapter is the need to reflect on how each chapter feeds into the sustainable development agenda, which is the focus of this handbook, and how the conclusions can inform future directions (i.e. policy and practice), with possible implications for improved livelihoods of disabled people in the southern African region and beyond.
