ABSTRACT
What is the heritage of the ‘movement of the squares’? Reflecting on the case of the 15M movement and its latter evolutions, the conclusion highlights both successes and limitations of activist and political action since the 15M in order to contribute to a collective process of reflection. In so doing, it addresses three translational strands – translation at the global and national interface, translation as political renewal, and translation in the search for commonality – in order to draw provisional conclusions as well as to illuminate potential ways forward. Finally, it concludes with a plea for an enhanced dialogue between the fields of Translation Studies and Social Movements.
