(p. 435) Ideology comprises within it the meaning of culture. As we mentioned at the Introduction of this book, one of the meanings of ideology is that it is ‘a set of ideas based on a comprehensive understanding of the universe.’ Culture, on the other hand, is comprised of ideas about the universe which makes culture one of the components of the concept of ideology.
