Concrete blocks are manufactured from a binder (cement or lime or both) and a range of aggregates. BS 6073: Part I (Precast concrete blocks) classifies blocks under three types as shown in the table †Block density:- The density calculated by dividing the weight of a block by the overall volume including holes and cavities * Co-ordinating size:- A size of the space, bounded by co-ordinating planes, allocated to a component, including the allowance for joints and tolerances.
