ABSTRACT

A contract of hire is an agreement between a contractor and a contracting party, wherein the contractor is to perform work ordered by the contracting party according to specifications set by the contracting party, and turn over the completed work to the contracting party. The contracting party is to accept the results of the said work, and pay the agreed-upon remuneration to the contractor for the job done. It is a bilateral, nongratuitous, promissory contract. The contractor is to perform the job according to the specifications laid down by the contracting party. The contractor must provide suitable storage for the raw materials, equipment, packaged things, and other articles. The contracting party should examine the objects carefully and accept them at the agreed-upon place and time. Both the mandatary in the contract of mandate and the contractor in a contract of hire complete tasks according to the requirements laid down by others.
