ABSTRACT

(p. 197) Those engaged in commerce, agriculture, and industry hasten to combine labour, capital and people, that is, to establish corporations among them for the purpose of enhancing their profit. Since the implementation of the capitalist system in our society, people have practised the formation of corporations in accordance with the rules of this system, thus abandoning the rules of Islam. This tendency has been aided by the cultural and missionary invasion conducted by the West in which misconceptions about Islam, both intellectual and legislative, were reinforced. One of the misconceptions that have become common among Muslims is that Muslims adopt from the West that which is presumably compatible with Islam. As a result of this misconception, certain rulings have been established which are contrary to Islam and which should not be adopted in any way.
