ABSTRACT
This chapter explains how sales meetings are performed and describes the role of the sales manager and the sales person. The responsibilities of the sales manager are to circulate the agenda and the minutes of the previous meeting, to select an appropriate location, to send invitations to people outside the sales department, e.g. marketing and production, and to evaluate feedback. The responsibilities of the sales person are to prepare for the meeting and to present a summary of sales activities. Sales representative presents results of sales activities and field visits, performance of demonstrations and promotions, performance of products and services, competitors’ activities, qualifying prospects, issues to be addressed, and closing remarks by the sales manager.
