ABSTRACT
This chapter considers the use of data-tracking standards in LO development. It is written with the assumption that you have already read Chapter 4. It provides additional detail on how the API and HACP data exchange methods address LO launch, communication, and data models. It also includes more technical information about the biggest limitations of the two methods. Finally, it offers solutions to some of the most common problems courseware developers encounter in using the standards.
