ABSTRACT
This piece was developed out of a blog piece originally published on 7 August 2012 on my academic blog, about the trans tent at Nottinghamshire Pride 2012. I present it to provide some context to the following chapter by Kirsty Lohman and Ruth Pearce, both of whom performed in the event I discuss and whose experiences at this event shaped their thinking about trans as a punk, DIY, fluid endeavour.
