ABSTRACT

Nearly 40 years ago, I left my native country of Argentina to arrive in the United States of America (US) as a legal immigrant under the status of “permanent resident.” I knew what that meant … I could stay in the US for as long as I wanted and could return to Argentina as often as I wanted. So I did, not because I did not like the US, but because I missed Argentina terribly. And 40 years later, I still do, so much so that now I spend half of my time in the US and half of my time in Argentina.
