ABSTRACT
About six months before my first primary, I became heavily involved in candidates’ forums. There were eight people in the race, and it seemed that every group imaginable wanted to see the contestants. The groups ranged from the Rotary Club to the League of Women Voters. Some clubs videotaped us as we were paraded through, asked to speak, and questioned.
