ABSTRACT

W e now come to the customs connected with burial and to burial itself. I have never been privileged to be present at a Negrito burial, no deaths having occurred when I have been with them; so I have to report at second hand. I have, however, seen a Negrito grave among the Bateg of Pahang. My evidence, obtained previous to his, can be checked in part by that of Schebesta, who was, incidentally, present at a burial among the Jehai.
