ABSTRACT
Our idea was to have Magic answer questions from kids about his health, his future and his fears, and tell them what he thought was important to know. We felt we could inform kids—and help them to feel better about what had happened to Magic Johnson. This part was important. He was their hero. He could show them how a hero behaves. He could show us all. (“Magic, TV and Kids,” 1992, p. 8).
