ABSTRACT

When designing threat management program, think about company and its infrastructure: small-size, mid-size, or large-size company; domestic or international, or both; union or non-union workforce, or both; includes a contract labor force; resident customers at site; work environment is a factory, office, retail, or combination. Metrics are an essential element in company's program. When the reader develops their advanced threat program, like their threat management program, it must be scalable to the resources and be actionable. Threat management teams include members from multiple disciplines within an organization who work together to reduce threatening behaviors, threats, and acts of violence and their consequences. Training the employees on how to react to an advanced threat incident is a proactive approach that will increase their odds of surviving an attack. There are two phases of training: training for employees and training for the first responders, who could be security officers, security staff, or law enforcement.
