ABSTRACT

This chapter is an introduction to an interdisciplinary field. It provides a larger overview of contemporary Pakistani anglophone literature’s contribution to global human rights discourse, particularly through its diametric dialogue with Western post-9/11 narratives. The aim is to highlight the reasons for the ambivalent position of this new wave of English writings, and to address the pedagogical challenges in the effective utilisation of this literature in transnational curricula.
