ABSTRACT
The CPSU Central Committee report delivered by Mikhail Sergeyevich Cis perfectly correct in pointing out the deformations of socialist principles in the past. The people of Uzbekistan have directly experienced the results of cruel diktat, unbridled lawlessness, and baseness during the years of Stalin’s repressions. Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev correctly pointed out in his report that stagnation phenomena persist in the development of Uzbekistan’s agriculture. Soviet Uzbekistan has always occupied a worthy and honorable place in the international family of Union republics. The sons and daughters of the Uzbek people made a big contribution to the cause of the revolution, of building a new life, and of defending our homeland and its independence against the fascist aggressors. Despite the high rates of population growth in Uzbekistan, one out of every five adult residents capable of working is not employed in the public sector economy.
