ABSTRACT
The link between environmental policies and innovation has been extensively discussed in the theoretical literature and has been the object of several empirical studies.2 The relevance of this issue is increasing with the emergence of global environmental problems that require technological solutions, and the development of progressively more demanding and ambitious regulation in the field of climate and energy.
