ABSTRACT
According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Assessment Report (2007), Sudan is a country that faces a unique blend of challenges and opportunities,111 within a “broad array of severe and chronic environmental issues which threaten its prospects for long-term peace, food security, and sustainable development.”
