ABSTRACT
A strong, biodegradable, biocompatible elastomer could be useful in fields such as tissue engineering, drug delivery, and medical devices. Compared with conventional biodegradable polymers, poly-glycerol sebacate (PGS) appears to be tougher, less expensive, and more flexible.
