ABSTRACT
Colloids are a dispersion of one phase to another, and their size ranges from 1 nm to 1 μm, and in a system, discontinuities are found at distances of that order. Colloidal properties provide information about absorption, cell membrane interaction, and drug molecule behavior in the surrounding environment. This entry discusses the role of colloids in drug development and delivery.
