ABSTRACT
Surgical glues are widely used to seal small holes present in diseased soft tissues such as lung (sealants), to stop bleeding from damaged tissues (hemostatic agents), and to bond two separated tissues (surgical adhesives). The focus of this entry is on the different types of surgical glues, their properties, and their applications.
