ABSTRACT
Cosmetology and dermatology are interrelated and complementary in many ways although they have different purposes. This entry focuses on polymeric biomaterials used in hair and skin applications. Before describing the natural and synthetic polymers used in cosmetology, it briefly defines the products that incorporate them.
