ABSTRACT
This entry explains metal–polymer composite materials for biomedical use and the corresponding research is reviewed. To understand metallic materials against polymeric materials, an outline of metals is first presented. Then, surface properties of metals are described regarding the reaction of metal surface with polymers that govern the manufacture of metal–polymer composites, followed by the main subject, metal–polymer composites.
