ABSTRACT
Many critical components of medical devices and diagnostic products are fabricated of polyurethane elastomers, since these polymers offer an unsurpassed combination of biocompatibility, performance, and ease of manufacture. This entry will review the use of polyurethane in medical devices and in other biomedical applications.
