ABSTRACT

This entry describes earth‐to‐air heat exchangers (EAHEs or underground air tunnel systems) and their energetic and exergetic performance analysis. The case study covers actual system data taken from the implementation of an EAHE system in Turkey. General energy and exergy efficiencies of the EAHEs are introduced. This analysis is then applied to a selected EAHE system using actual thermodynamic data taken from recent performance evaluations of energy and exergy efficiencies for heating mode.
