ABSTRACT
The purpose of this entry is to provide an overview of the current library, archives, and museum environment in Spain. Each library section—national, university, public, school, and special—as well the archives and museum sections, discusses administration, staffing, expenditures, collections, automation, and services, with trends when possible, and representative institutional profiles. It concludes with a discussion of professional education, associations, and cooperation.
