ABSTRACT
The Medical Library Association (MLA) aspires to be the association of the most visible, valued, and trusted health information experts working to enhance the quality of health care, education and research throughout the world. MLA fulfills its mission and goals through its continuing education, credentialing, professional recognition, research, publications, and international programs. The association also offers career services and advocates on behalf of its members through the association’s public relations program and governmental relations programs. This entry explains how MLA serves its members, the profession, and society through its programs and services.
