ABSTRACT
This entry includes an introduction to radiometry and the application of basic radiometric principles to remote sensing. It is intended to provide the basis for any quantitative work in remote sensing where the reader is interested in making measurements with remote sensing systems. This entry will also provide a conceptual understanding of how various radiometric terms influence the final sensed signal or image.
